MORNING GLORIOUS

Hooked and Designed by Jane Olson
Featured in  Rugger's Roundtable, March 1999

The beauty of the morning glory inspired the pattern "Morning Glorious". They are common in the southern regions of Europe and North America. The blue flowers become purple by the afternoon before they fade.

This pattern is not as complicated as it appears. There are just blossoms, buds, leaves and vines. Balance of color is no problem. If hooking with blue and purple blossoms, alternate the two colors.

Notice the outside border running through the outer edge of the vines and flowers. This is very effective with a dark border.

Enjoy this delicate pattern: it will enhance any decor.
